Non-Intrusive Pig Signaller Devices
Non-Intrusive Pig Signaller Devices are designed for reliable pig detection in pipeline systems. They complement our intrusive Hi-T Pigalert™ models and are suitable for both permanent and portable installations.
The Hi-T Magalert and Hi-T Ultralert are robust non-intrusive pig signallers. They use magnetic and ultrasonic detection technologies to detect, signal, and record pig passages at critical points along a pipeline.
These devices are suitable for both onshore and offshore applications. As a result, they provide dependable performance in demanding pipeline environments.
The Hi-T Magalert and Hi-T Ultralert are ATEX compliant. They are housed in fully certified aluminium or stainless steel explosion-proof enclosures. Therefore, they are suitable for hazardous areas, including Zone 1, Zone 2, Group IIA, IIB, and H2 areas.
For better monitoring, the devices can log up to 100 events with time and date records. Operators can view all logged events on a 70 mm (2.7”) high-visibility display built into the main housing.
In addition, stored data can be downloaded to a PC before clearing the event history. This helps improve traceability and supports pipeline maintenance records.
Pig passages can also be signalled in real time through ultra-bright LED indicators. These LEDs are built into the main housing and are visible from distances of up to 100 meters.
